Da Giovanni is a home catering company which specializes in rustic Sicilian cuisine. The goal was to create a visual identity that would reflect the authentic and traditional nature of the culture while also providing a simple and appealing design to a modern audience. The visual identity is based on a combination of traditional Italian colours and classic design elements. Blue was chosen as the primary palette as plays into the national colour of Italy, Azzurro. It is also a reflection of the Mediterranean sea and sky, evoking a sense of calm and tranquility. The design also features a modernized twist on the classic Italian restaurant aesthetic, such as the use of clean lines and a bold cursive type which reflects the high-quality of the food and brand.
